Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Authentication information: the account identifier, name, and email supplied by the service used to sign you in.
• Seller profile information: display name, profile picture or logo, telephone number, contact email, business name, website, Facebook address, Telegram username, selected plan, billing term, discount, payment reference, and payment review status.
• Listing information: product title, category, sale or rental type, price, location, description, photos, optional video, publication status, and expiry dates.
• Technical information: basic request, device, browser, security, error, and usage information generated when the Site is used.

2. How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, create seller profiles, publish and rank products, connect buyers with sellers, process plan selections and payment review, enforce listing limits and expiry, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, maintain security, respond to requests, comply with legal obligations, and improve Khmer Market.

3. Information visible to the public

When a product is published, its title, description, price, category, location, photos, video, seller display or business name, and enabled contact channels may be visible to visitors. Required Facebook and Telegram details are displayed so buyers can contact the seller. An optional email, telephone number, or website is shown only where the related feature is enabled.

Do not place identity documents, bank details, home access codes, private conversations, or other sensitive personal information in a public listing.

4. Payments

Paid plan users may scan an ABA Pay or KHQR code and provide a transaction reference for manual review. Khmer Market records the reference and payment status but does not need to collect a card number or online-banking password. The bank or payment provider handles the payment under its own terms and privacy practices.

5. How information is shared

We may share information with hosting, authentication, database, file-storage, security, and other technical service providers that help operate the Site; with authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, investigate fraud, or protect rights and safety; or as part of a business transfer. We do not sell personal information for money.

6. Third-party channels and links

Facebook, Telegram, external websites, banks, and other linked services operate independently. Information you send after leaving Khmer Market is governed by that service’s rules and privacy policy. Review a link and the recipient before sharing personal or payment information.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep profile and listing information while it is needed to provide the marketplace and for a reasonable period afterward for security, dispute handling, accounting, backup, and legal purposes. Free Plan products are automatically deleted 12 months after publication, resetting the listing slot so the seller can add a new product. Deleting a product removes it from public view and its media from active storage, although limited backup or legal records may remain temporarily.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No website, storage system, or internet transmission is completely secure, so users should protect their account, verify unusual messages, and avoid publishing unnecessary sensitive information.

9. Your choices and requests

Sellers can review and update profile details, edit or delete their products, replace photos, and choose whether to provide optional information. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by contacting the Khmer Market support channel or the administrator who provided access. Some information may be retained where reasonably needed for legal, security, payment, or fraud-prevention purposes.

10. Children

Khmer Market is intended for adults and is not designed for children under 18 to create seller accounts or conduct marketplace transactions. If we learn that a child provided personal information without appropriate authorization, we may remove it.

11. International processing

Technical service providers may process or store information in locations outside Cambodia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to use providers and safeguards appropriate to the information and the service.

12. Policy updates and contact

We may update this Policy when features, providers, or legal requirements change. The revised date will appear at the top. For a privacy question or request, use the Khmer Market support channel or contact the administrator who provided access to the Site.
